Cancer 1, People 0

Bakersfield lost another blogger just this week.

Vicki Cheetwood-Moore

It's really sad that she lost her battle with Cancer. I've been reading her blog everyday since it was started by her mother few months ago and I truly hope that photos of her service will be posted.

Vicki Cheatwood-Moore

May 3, 1970 - May 9, 2007

A Celebration of Vicki's Life will be held Wed. May 16, 2007 at 10am at Valley Baptist Church
4800 Fruitvale Avenue, Bakesfield, Ca 93308

Graveside Services to follow at Greenlawn
3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield, Ca 93305

As this is a celebration of Vicki's life and not a mouring of her death we ask that traditional "funeral" apparel not be worn, but cheerful colors and clothing to celebrate the fun, beauty and vibrancy of her life.

In lieu of flowers, Vic's family suggests donations in her memory to:
Hoffman Hospice
5300 California Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93309
(661) 716-1600

"Whenever a good child dies, an angel of God comes down from heaven, takes the dead child in his arms, spreads out his great white wings, and flies with him over all the places which the child had loved during his life. Then he gathers a large handful of flowers, which he carries up to the Almighty, that they may bloom more brightly in heaven than they do on earth. And the Almighty presses the flowers to His heart, but He kisses the flower that pleases Him best, and it receives a voice, and is able to join the song of the chorus of bliss.”
